# Privacy Policy ยท Epic Timers Last updated: September 9, 2026 This Privacy Policy describes how Epic Timers, an Inoveb LTD project, handles information when you use the website and web timer. ## Summary Epic Timers is built for live event sessions. Free use requires no sign-in. Session pairing uses anonymous identifiers and QR links. Optional email magic-link sign-in (no password) is used for Premium purchase and restore, and to keep History across devices. We collect stats, without tracking cookies, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell personal data. ## Information we process - **Anonymous session identifiers.** When you open a display, join a session, act as a controller, or observe a show, the app generates local and session IDs so devices stay in sync. - **Authentication.** Free sessions use silent Firebase Anonymous Auth. To buy Premium, or to sync History across devices, you may sign in with an email magic link (no password). We store the email address associated with that account. - **Live session content.** Timer state, appearance settings, messages, styles, triggers, labels, logos, background images, music settings, and related session data are stored so paired devices update in real time. - **Premium purchase metadata.** When you subscribe via Stripe Checkout, we store entitlement status and related purchase metadata for your signed-in identity. - **Device storage.** The app may store identifiers, preferences, a Premium cache, and (on Premium) local Templates on your device. - **Uploaded logos, backgrounds, and music.** Custom logos, stage background images, and audio tracks you upload for Premium are stored in cloud storage associated with your user libraries. - **History.** When signed in, session History is stored under your account so it can be restored across devices. - **Technical connectivity.** Infrastructure may process standard connection metadata (such as IP address and timestamps) needed to deliver realtime updates and payments. ## How we use information - Operate realtime multi-device timer sessions - Pair displays, controllers, and observers via QR or shared links - Provide product features (flash, black out, styles, Invite crew, logo, custom background, background music, Scheduled Start, Templates, History, Export Log) - Manage Premium entitlement and billing - Maintain reliability and security of the service - Understand how the website and timer are used, and improve them ## Accounts There are no password accounts or usernames. Sign-in is optional for Free use and required only for Premium purchase and cross-device History. We do not run third-party advertising. ## Site analytics The host that serves the pages may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, browser, and the page requested). We collect stats, without tracking cookies, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Show content is not used to build marketing profiles. ## Cookies and local storage We do not set tracking cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated first. Session pairing and optional sign-in still keep identifiers on your device so devices stay in sync. Cookie and security controls from the network that serves the site (for example Cloudflare) may still apply. ## Service providers - **Firebase** (Realtime Database, Authentication, Storage, Cloud Functions) for sessions, pairing, auth, logos, backgrounds, music, and History - **Laravel API** for Premium status and Stripe Checkout - **Stripe** for web subscription payments and the 14-day free trial These providers process data only as needed to host and deliver the service under their own terms and security practices. ## Data retention Session data exists to support an active event. Free web sessions are intended to be ephemeral. We may delete inactive or abandoned session data as part of normal operations. Data stored only on your device remains under your control until you clear app or site storage. Logo, background, and music libraries, History, and Premium entitlement data tied to a signed-in user may persist until you request deletion. ## Sharing Anyone with a session or display QR or link can join that room and see live session content for that session. Do not share pairing links beyond your crew. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and users from abuse or security threats. ## Children Epic Timers is a productivity tool for events and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. ## Your choices - Stop sharing QR codes or session links to end new joins - Clear local app or site storage to remove local identifiers and device-local data - Contact us to ask questions about this policy or request deletion of cloud data we control ## Changes We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
